Wat Bangphra is located in a province at the North west Central Thailand called Nakon Pathom since BE2220. Luang Phor Pern was one of the most famous abbott of Wat Bangphra. Luang Phor Pern born in BE2466 at Nakon Pathom. His parent are farmer and he had 7 elder brothers and sisters. Luang Phor Pern started his mookhood life very early in a temple which located in a province called Suphan Buri. During that time, he follow a senior monk, Luang Phor Leng for Buddhism. In BE2491, Luang Phor Pern left Luang Phor Leng and returned to Wat Bangphra to follow the abbott, Luang Phor Him for further study of medicine, Dhamma, superstitions magic ang tattoo. Afterward, Luangphor Pern spent another 9 years in the forest for further self development on Buddhism. Luang Phor Pern had been worked in two different temples prior he succeed the abbott of Wat Bangphra after Luang Phor Him died. When he was the abbott of Wat Bangphra, he continued making amulets for the people and make tattoo of the superstitions magic on the body of the people. As more and more miracle happened on those people whom worn the amulets by Luang Phor Pern, a lot of people are eager to rent the amulet from Luang Phor Pern and he became famous. Luang Phor Pern was died in BE2545. Currently, there is a small hall which located at the left hand side of the main hall of Wat Bangphra. A monks who follow Luang Phor Pern in the past is making tattoo for the people. Another bigger hall place the body of Luang Phor Pern and the existing abbott are chanting the people everyday in the same hall. All Wat Bangphra and/or Luang Phor Pern amulets/Phayant and holy articles were chanted by the existing abbott of Wat Bangphra. |
