Baladkhit is the Thai name of holy subject in penis form and which was originated in India and brought into Thailand by those Cambodian Monks in the 8th Century. Majority Baladkhits are carved from wood, ivory or bone but there are also some mould by brass or copper. Same as amulets, materials for making Baladkhits are collected by monks. For those made of wood, bone and ivory, monks will chant the materials first and then carve by themselves. After the carving is finished, monks will draw and write the magical word and symbol on the Baladkhit.
Traditionally, Baladkhits are worn by male by a string on the waist under clothes. Nowadays, most of the people are just keep the Baladkhit in the pocket of their trousers for their convenience. The main purpose of wearing Baladkhit is to increase gambling luck or increase the power for side money. Learnt from Thaias, wear one unit of Baladkhit, it will help you on incremental of gambling luck. If you wear two then it will also increase your attraction to female and if you wear three, it will help you invulnerable from bullets.
There are seveal famous monks in Thailand whom are specialize in making powerful Baladkhit. For example, Luang Phor Yit's Baladkhits are very popular in Thailand. Also, Luang Phor Muang and Luang Phor Boon did made Baladkhits for the people to increase their luck.
Around two years ago, there was an article in a Thai Amulet magazine which shown some people put the Baladkhits in the falls and the Baladkhits go upward even the water is running down from the falls. In Thailand, there are some Mortee (Fortune Teller) taught people to hold and pray the Baladkhits for more good luck before gamble. Although this is not verified , some people expressed that positive result were come out during gambling after they worn the Baladkhits. |
